Through its awards programs, MAHAP continues develop and offer opportunities to provide professional growth and recognition to its members.

The Koscher Award

First awarded in 2005, the Koscher Educational Conference Award is a randomly-drawn grant intended for individuals working in the field of revenue cycle services and who are in attendance at the current year's Fall Educational Conference.

The Award provides the recipient with complimentary registration to the next year's Conference in order to defer some of the costs of Conference attendance and to assure the recipient's attendance at the next Conference.

The Wellever Scholarship

First awarded in 2003, the Wellever Scholarship Program, is made available through the financial support of Rent-A-Collector, and is awarded annually to a Michigan hospital with under 225 inpatient beds and without MAHAP membership for the last three years.

The Scholarship entitles the recipient hospital to complimentary membership for the current membership year (September – August), complimentary admission to all four of MAHAP's General Educations Meetings, and the Fall Educational Conference at the end of the Scholarship year.
